Say Your Prayers

It's been a while since I posted something on here!

We decided to send Will to another dentist for a second opinion. This one looks more promising. While his wisdom teeth will still need to be removed this dentist is cheaper. He didn't find nearly the cavities the other dentist did and had never heard of something called gingivitis therapy. That's a sigh of relief. I found out that I need to get another tetanus and polio shot! Will most likely will have to have another polio shot. ARGH! Not fun at all!

On another note my grandma called me this morning with some bad news. My great grandpa whom will be 96 next month is in the hospital. He has been suffering from dementia which explains his outbursts in the nursing home. He was becoming extremely angry with nurses and even members of my family. Yesterday he suffered from a massive heart attack and double pneumonia. When I talked with my grandmother this morning she said they removed all the tubes- he's in a coma- and living on the oxygen being supplied to him. It saddens me that this is the way he has to die.

It's going to be hard to loose someone you love so much. My grandpa has always been an inspiration to me. He always spoke to me about his experiences at the University of Idaho- His $150.00 railroad scholarship that brought him to northern Idaho to study Dairy Production. His tales of buying a jacket using his dad's check book because it was cold here and riding home in a jeep without a top in the middle of winter! He was also the inspiration behind raising those fantastic pigs- Durocs to be exact! He always said they were the best! His love for my grandma has also given me great strength. When she passed away in July 2000 he was absolutely crushed but has fought for eight years without her!

My grandpa is truly a special man and I will deeply miss his smile, friendship, and love but I will know that he'll be in a great place. He will once again be reunited with his wife and the pain and suffering will end! The only thing I can do right now is say my prayers and hope that gods grace will take him to a better place. He always used to say- I prayed for you today Andrea and now I can say to him- Grandpa- I'm praying for you! I love you grandpa!
