The Adventure Begins

It's official we have heard from Peace Corps- We've set this blog up for those of you interested in keeping up with where we're headed! Last Friday our recruiter told us we would be leaving in October for placement in Western Africa in a French speaking country. I can't tell you how excited we were to hear the news. As most of you know Africa was not our first choice but we slowly began telling ourselves it was going to be a great experience. We also began telling friends and family when we were leaving and where we would be going.

And the plot thickens....

Today our recruiter called us and told us that someone from the Caribbean saw our application and wants us there in July!!! Words can't express how happy this makes us! The Caribbean was our first choice and we'll be leaving much sooner! Not only that but we'll both be working in specialized Agriculture programs. Will's job will allow him to be a business agricultural consultant educator. As for me I will be working with the local 4-H program and their 4-H leaders, exactly what I wanted to be doing!!!!

I hope that all of our family and friends find this useful and I hope this provides them a way to keep in touch with us and know what's going on in our lives...Let the Adventure Begin!
